Cinemas around Leeds

Vue

The Light,, 22 The Headrow, Leeds LS1 8TL, UK – 0345 308 4620

took my grandson to 'mini morning' and its great value for money but slightly slow service

It is a really nice place for you I go to ‭the cinema with my bestie

Everyman Leeds / Comptoir Libanais

30 Albion St, Leeds LS1 6EY, UK – 0871 906 9060

If you don’t mind paying a little extra then this is the place to go. The seating is very comfortable and the options for food and drink are very good quality.. again a little on the expensive side. The staff are very good here and will show you to your seat as well as bring your pizza or hot food out if you have ordered some.

This is a very up class cinema inside the Trinity Centre in Leeds where you might want to take your partner for a nice night out. The main selling points are that they have sofas for you to sit on and you can order wine and pizza to come to your seats inside the cinema. On the downside Leeds has a huge amount of cinemas a lot of which have very large screens and fully reclining seats that are a lot more comfortable than this particular chain and are a lot lot cheaper. So, great for taking your partner out. For me, not comfy at all.

The Film House

The Carriageworks, Millennium Square, Leeds LS2 3AD, UK – 0113 224 3801

Good modern place good location

Theatres for Leeds

Leeds Grand Theatre

46 New Briggate, Leeds LS1 6NZ, UK – 0844 848 2700

Love it here, really special feel in the building that feels like it holds a lot of history. The main room can get extremely warm, although there are some , what look like fans under the chairs. There's a bar, with a wide range of beverages and snacks to enjoy too. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different to do in the afternoon / evening. Really enjoyable day,.

Watched wicked here, sat in the side balcony seat aa1 (I go for a seat on the end so I can stretch my bad knee out), I'm 6 foot and a large build and these seats do not offer adequate space for someone of this stature. I was accompanied by a friend who is slim build and 5' 8" and even they complained about lack of space. Having said this looking around other seats would have been more suitable. It was a hot night (currently a heat wave for the 2018 World Cup) and the temperatures inside were unbearable everywhere we looked people were fanning themselves or wiping sweat from their brow. Having pointed out these negatives, the staff were all very good and the show/cast were phenomenal. I will attend again but will pick more suitable seats and will ensure baby wipes are taken if there is warm weather.

Carriageworks Theatre

3 Millennium Square, Leeds LS2 3AD, UK – 0113 376 0318

Went to a great production that my daughter was in. The theatre was small enough that you were nice and close to the action, the seats were comfortable and the acoustics great. But the lack of any or adequate air conditioning meant that it got stiflingly hot, especially in a heatwave.

Great night out watching a production of Blackadder 2 - performed by The Cosmopolitan Players - at The Carriageworks Theatre. Well worth a visit ☺️

Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre

2 St Cecilia Street, Quarry Hill, Leeds LS2 7PA, UK – 0113 220 8008

Lovely people at the public lecture on research driven mental health policies

Definitely a theatre of choice for us. They were so good with my child with additional needs even offering noise cancelling headphones.
