Local Bookshops

Blackwells Bookshop Leeds

21 Woodhouse Ln, Leeds LS2 9HJ, UK – 0113 243 2446

Was suggested to go here for language books when I was learning Spanish, a great selection.

Good for all your uni needs, they also price match with Amazon

93-, 97 Albion St, Leeds LS1 5JS, UK – 0113 244 4588

So many floors of books! They have a pretty decent selection of any genre you like. What they don't have in stock they'll gladly order for you. The online click and collect option from this store is also a quick and easy way to find what you're looking for. The cafe on the first floor is so-so for food and pricing but great place to do some reading or work. Staff are lovely and knowledgeable and the stamp cards which give you £10 off after collecting 10 stamps are great.

One of the last bookshops left that still feels like a bookshop. Large selection of books on various subjects. Staff are friendly and helpful, will offer to order in anything they don't have in stock. Easy to access all levels with a lift in the center of the building, though I personally much prefer swooping down the grand staircase! Recommend time and again!

The Works

Little space. Not enough books for adults. Children would have a good time

Some nice books reasonably priced but if wanting to buy as a gift you may be disappointed as a lot of the covers are scratched and damaged
