Local Bookshops

Blackwell's Bookshop Leeds

21 Woodhouse Ln, Leeds LS2 9HJ, UK – 0113 243 2446

Absolutely love this bookshop, pretty much every title there is something I want to read. Easy layout to find things and often half price used books.

Was suggested to go here for language books when I was learning Spanish, a great selection.

Waterstones

93-97 Albion St, Leeds LS1 5JS, UK – 0113 244 4588

I adore the coffee shop in here. I can read my book in a relaxed atmosphere. Never pushed to give up my seat. Comfy chairs & sofas. Clever marketing, actually, as I usually end up buying an interesting book or two & I can read before I buy!

Great bookstore that spans across several floors. Well maintained and always have the best and newest titles clearly displayed. There is also a cafe where you can enjoy a nice cup of tea.

Colours May Vary

Munro House, Duke St, Leeds LS9 8AG, UK – 0113 244 2704

Wondeful art space, knowledgeable staff who are clearly passionate about their job. Wide selection of art book and magazines, hard to find many of them unless shopping online, and for a physical shop the prices are generally reasonable. There's also a small exhibition space in the back, which is important to have as it's fairly easily (I've heard from friends) to book and good for up-and-coming artists, as well as allowing art students a proper space to exhibit their work.

Quirky place, loads of things you won't see anywhere else in the area. Great selection of arts magazines. Good exhibitions.
